The Johnston Family—Matt, Liz, Connor, and Silas—with their very cool creation.

With the weather forecast predicting a semi-dire weekend of the white stuff, last Friday turned out to be the worst day, and not even very bad at that.

Back from sledding on Saturday, the Johnston Family on Daleview Crescent decided to build themselves what may very well turn out to be the last snowman of the season, gathering as much snow as they could.

“We had to use almost all of it from the front lawn," says dad Matt, to make "Mr. Snowflake."

As seen above, if the impressive figure happened to melt a few drops and send it off to 23 and Me, Mr. Snowflake might well discover he was 90 percent flake, and 10 percent sticks and leaves—a noble lineage indeed.
