After a sensational season of play, the Pelham Peewee Orioles took on the St. Catharines Red Sox in the championship game on Sunday and they did not disappoint, winning convincingly 13-2.

Orioles got on the scoreboard quickly as Owen Miller hit a high ball to centre field allowing Jonah Lohr comes into score the first run of the game. Jack Dodd continued his strong season, getting a hit past Red Sox second baseman to score Spencer Klieniewski. Kyle and Kory Yoder both get hits to finish out the inning, giving Pelham a quick 3-0 lead.

Orioles Aiden Belding strikes out the first Red Sox batter and receives some help in the field to end the inning.

Kyle was next to pitch, sending three batters back to the dugout. St. Catharines gets one run but in typical Orioles fashion, they respond on offence with two more runs.

The Red Sox keep it close with another run, but Kyle comes to the plate and hits a bomb to deep left field to bring in two more runs. His brother rips a hit through the middle scoring yet another run before Zachary Baltrusiunas walks on to load the bases.

Brock Pellow steps to the plate, after having struck out last inning, and hits a ball deep into centre field to score three more. Andrew Avolio smacks the final dagger, finishing off the championship game with another RBI.

The Pelham Orioles not only capture the championship, but also finished the season undefeated. Pellow was awarded the MVP for his sixth inning performance where he had three runs batted in.

The team would like to give a very special thank-you to the coaching staff of the Pelham Orioles for their dedication, encouragement, and the time they spent teaching the kids skills for use both on the field and off.
