The Region of Niagara has updated its Health Care Facilities Outbreaks webpage to include the Woodlands of Sunset care home, located on Pelham Street, in Welland, as experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak.
No details are provided as to the number of affected residents.
On Tuesday, April 21, the site reported another outbreak at the same facility, in that case a gastrointestinal bug of unknown origin.
UPDATE
In a statement issued May 4, 2020, Niagara Region declared the Woodlands outbreak to be over.
